Why is
Baseball Resource doing a underclassmen showcase?
There seems to be a demand for young players who want to know where they
are at and what they need to improve on at a young age. Baseball Resource
would like to help get your name out to local college coaches and scouts
by
putting
on this
event
at an
affordable price and hope that players will have a better understanding
on where they need to be at in order to play baseball at the next level.
What type of evaluations will be made?
- Pitchers will throw a bullpen and evaluated on their pitching skills.
Also they will clocked with either a Jugs or Stalker Radar gun for arm
strength. Bullpen only for pitchers.
- Catchers will
be timed on their pop time and arm velocity.
-
All batters will
be timed from home to first.
- All runners will be timed on the 60 yd dash.
- All hitters will be allowed two rounds of 10 cuts in the batting cage.
All other positional players will be graded on arm strength and defensive
skills. There will be no games played!
We will announce an All Tournament Team within one week of the event
after we look at the player evaluations.
Each player may showcase their skills at only TWO positions only!
